CIVIC INVOLVEMENT PROJECTS ARE CONTINUING AT EMU FLEPS ENGLISH PREPARATORY SCHOOL. THE STUDENTS ARE GAINING CIVIC AWARENESS AND IMPROVING THEIR LANGUAGE SKILLS AT THE SAME TIME.

OUP sends one FLEPS student to England--The winner is Gülsaya Kaisagaliyeva

The 2nd Oxford Readers Competition was jointly held with Oxford University Press and the Eastern Mediterranean University, Foreign Languages English Preparatory School. First, the students took a graded reader from the Student's Self Study Center and they wrote a summary on the book review form. A Jury consisting of 10 English Preparatory School instructors evaluated the book reviews and the successful students performed their presentations on the 7th and 8th of May to a Jury that again consisted of 9 English Preparatory School Instructors. The results were announced the next day, 10th of May, during a prize ceremony which was held in the Meeting Room in the English Preparatory School. Names of presenters 1. Tavus Polatova 2. THE OXFORD READING COMPETITION IS OVER.... YESTERDAY AND TODAY, OUR STUDENTS COMPLETED THEIR PRESENTATIONS, AND THE AWARD CEREMONY IS TAKING PLACE TOMORROW. TO PRESENT THE AWARD, OXFORD REGIONAL MANAGER MR. KENAN BARUT WILL BE IN FLEPS TOMORROW. EMU SPRING FEST STARTS ON MAY 8TH-- THE FELLOWSHIP OF EMU

EMU Prep School students asked 'killer questions' to the school director

EMU FLEPS Director Asst. Prof. Dr. Nilgun Hancioglu Eldridge, was asked some killer questions by Prep School students for the EPS Newsletter. The director definitely had difficulty answering some of the questions. One question was 'If you had a magic wand, what would you change in FLEPS?" After the interview, the Director also asked some killer questions to the students. All the three students said they were very happy to be at EMU FLEPS, and were pleased to hear the news that FLEPS is going for accreditation at the moment.

EPS Photography Team goes to Kantara

The EPS photography team went to Kantara with their teacher Senior Instructor Eren S. Kufi. The EPS students, most of whom were international students, got the opportunity to see the historic Kantara castle, wonderful views of the Mediterranean and also took some photos, some of which will be displayed on the annual 'Display Day' at the beginning of June.

FLEPS WRITING WORKSHOP FOR THE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS DEPARTMENT-22ND APRIL 2013

FLEPS held a writing workshop for the International Relations Department on April 22 2013 at CLA 21. The workshop focused on the important considerations in producing good writing and avoiding plagiarism.

The workshop was held by Senior Instructor Ozkan Ozcinar, Postgraduate English programme organizer, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nilgun Hancioglu Eldridge, FLEPS Director.
