PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION AT 14:30 TOMORROW AT PREP SCHOOL.....

The 5th FLEPS Photography Exhibition will open on the 11th of June (Wednesday), at 2:30pm, in the English Preparatory School Exhibition Hall (first floor, in front of the Students Self Study Center). We'd like to see you there to enjoy the wonderful photographs that our students have taken. After the opening ceremony we are having a cocktail, so everybody is welcome. Hope to see you there.

FLEPS had another social gathering on Friday, June 6th. We had Nafia Akdeniz with us, and we all tasted 'A Glass of Poetry'. Thanks a lot Nafia for this challenging, thought-provoking sharing.

END OF SEMESTER 'FESTIVAL OF JOY' TO TAKE PLACE ON 11TH JUNE 2014, WEDNESDAY, AT 10.30 AT EMU FLEPS

Every semester, FLEPS celebrates its students' success and the end of the semester with a festival. Earlier, this festival had different names, one of which was 'Creative Every Day'. On 11th of June, the second 'Festival of JOY' will take place at the EPS. On this day, the students will be involved in many different activities, some of which are the charity bazaar, live music performances, shows, games, etc. There will also be the opening of the Photography Exhibition, where the photos taken by the photography team led by Eren Kufi, will be displayed. On this joyous day, EPS students will also be presented their Edexcel certificates,which will help them in their future lives by showing that they learned their English at an institution which is quality assured by Edexcel Pearson. Hope to see you all at EPS on the 11th of June at the Festival. And, MANY MANY THANKS to all colleagues who have contributed to this festival in different ways through the years :))))

EMU FLEPS CIVIC INVOLVEMENT PROJECT GROUPS HAVE THEIR END-OF-SEMESTER PRESENTATIONS

ANOTHER FRUITFUL SEMESTER HAS ALMOST COME TO AN END, AND EMU FLEPS CIVIC INVOLVEMENT PROJECT GROUPS HAVE TALKED ABOUT THEIR ACTIVITIES, AND EXPRESSED THEIR FEELINGS ABOUT THE CIP PROJECTS IN GENERAL AND THEIR OWN PROJECT GROUPS IN PARTICULAR. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL CIP TEACHERS AND STUDENTS AND MANY THANKS FOR BEING SENSITIVE TO ISSUES THAT REALLY MATTER.

EMU FLEPS OFFERS AN ENGLISH COURSE FOR PRISONERS--- 12 OF THEM COMPLETE THE COURSE

EMU FLEPS HAS OFFERED A BEGINNER LEVEL ENGLISH COURSE (A1 LEVEL) FOR PRISONERS. THE COURSE LASTED 3 MONTHS AND 12 PRISONERS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE COURSE AND WERE AWARDED CERTIFICATES. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PRISONERS AND MANY THANKS TO OUR COLLEAGUE, CENK OZDAG, FOR DELIVERING THE COURSE, TO ELMAZIYE OZGUR KUFI, FOR HELPING IN THE ORGANIZATION OF THE COURSE, AND TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR VARIED CONTRIBUTIONS.

A DAY TO REMEMBER--- EMU STAFF GET PLATES TO HONOR THEIR 25 YEARS OF SERVICE AT THE UNIVERSITY

30TH MAY WAS AN IMPORTANT DATE FOR SOME EMU STAFF... ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL WHO HAVE COMPLETED THEIR 25 YEARS OF SERVICE AT THE UNIVERSITY WERE HONORED AT A CEREMONY. 4 COLLEAGUES FROM FLEPS WERE AMONG THOSE WHO RECEIVED PLATES AT THIS CEREMONY.CONGRATULATIONS TO KAYSEM KORUK, HUSEYIN DEMIREL, HICRAN FIRAT AND NURHAN DAVRANDI....WE ALSO HAD A COLLEAGUE WHO GOT A PLATE OF HONOR AS SHE HAS DECIDED TO RETIRE.... DEAR NILUFER ENGIN, WE WISH YOU RELAXING DAYS AHEAD....AND HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN WITH US VERY SOON.
